The Wings – A Landscape for the Future
At Brussels Airport’s international district, The Wings rises as a landmark of vision — 50,000 m² where architecture, sustainability, and nature converge. More than an office development, it is a living ecosystem, the first in Belgium to be triple certified with BREEAM Excellent, WELL Gold, and DGNB Gold. A project developed by Ghelamco.
We were entrusted with shaping the landscape inside and out, weaving green spaces into every curve and level of the building. From sweeping rooftop gardens to intimate interior plantings, the design balances performance with wellbeing, offering employees and visitors a daily encounter with nature. Water, trees, and textures of green bring warmth to the futuristic architecture, softening glass and steel into a place of comfort, vitality, and connection.
The Wings is not only CO₂- and energy-neutral; it is a benchmark for how landscape can elevate the built environment into an experience. For this project, we were honored to receive First Place at the International Property Awards in London for Best Landscape Design.
A project that quite literally carries its name: a place where people and nature take flight together.
