Waves of Time, Flowers of Light
In the historic heart of Bruges, the Belfort became a stage where nature and architecture intertwined. Boeket voor Brugge, a floral exhibition, honored a century of public parks with a series of large-scale living artworks.
In the courtyard, waves of flowering shrubs undulated like a green sea against the stone walls, an ode to continuity and growth. Inside, a winding carpet of grass and blossoms stretched into infinity, leading visitors towards a towering portal of branches. Beyond it, a glowing orb of red anthurium shimmered against a living wall — a symbol of vitality contained within nature’s embrace.
The journey unfolded through dramatic spaces: suspended bamboo ribbons looping like a roller coaster, sculptural forms lit as if by theater, ceilings alive with floating patterns of flowers. Every detail was designed not only to be seen, but to be felt — a celebration of light, scale, and imagination.
Here, in the shadows of the medieval tower, we transformed plants into poetry and the Belfort into a cathedral of living art.
