The Architecture of Flowers

A private collection of sculptural botanical compositions created in China

China

Created for a private client in China, this series explores floral design as a discipline of structure, craftsmanship and artistic expression.

Calla lilies, anthuriums, water lilies, roses and flowering branches are woven, folded and suspended within striking architectural forms. Some compositions unfold with generous natural abundance; others reduce the flower to a single line, curve or gesture. Transparent glass, richly textured vessels and meticulously constructed foliage further blur the boundary between arrangement and art object.

Together, the works form a deeply personal botanical collection—diverse in scale and character, yet united by precision, movement and an intimate understanding of nature.
