The Forest Within

Developed exclusively as a concept for a private client, this imagined residence explores how architecture can recede into the landscape—allowing the forest to define the experience of the home.

Low pavilions of charcoal brick, dark bronze and Belgian limestone unfold beneath a mature canopy of oak, beech and birch. Reflecting water, woodland courtyards and quiet garden rooms draw nature deep into the architecture, while ferns, mosses, grasses and sculptural evergreens create an atmosphere of permanence and seclusion.

From the restrained arrival court to the dark swimming pool and intimate fire pavilion, every element was conceived to feel discovered rather than displayed. Water captures the shifting sky, paths disappear into vegetation and the residence gradually dissolves into its surroundings—a landscape shaped by shadow, reflection and the quiet rhythm of the forest.
