For this September baptism, the historic church was transformed through a floral landscape inspired by the richness of the changing season. Rather than imposing a decorative theme upon the sacred interior, the design grew naturally from its architecture—framing the altar, baptismal font and ceremonial objects with colour, movement and life.
Two monumental compositions rose beside the altar in an expressive architecture of branches, berries, seedpods and delicate flowers. Their generous yet open forms allowed the stained glass and carved woodwork to remain visible, creating a sensitive dialogue between the botanical material and the character of the church. Shades of pink, burgundy, green, blue and soft yellow captured the subtle transition from late summer into early autumn.
The baptismal font became the heart of the installation. Sculptural lotus stems emerged from the stone basin, while a meadow-like circle of hydrangea, ivy and small blue flowers gathered around its base. Cascading elements softened the pulpit and altar, with fruit and seasonal details placed throughout the setting to evoke abundance, continuity and new life.
Conceived as more than ceremony decoration, the installation created an immersive floral environment—joyful, symbolic and deeply connected to the September season.
