Crowning Glory – Flowers for Our Lady of Scherpenheuvel

In 2022, the basilica of Scherpenheuvel marked the 150th anniversary of the crowning of Our Lady, a moment of profound devotion and history. To honor this jubilee, the sanctuary was transformed into a sea of flowers — a radiant tribute to one of Belgium’s most cherished pilgrimage sites.

Around the silver altar, cascades of fiery reds, deep oranges, and golden yellows echoed the warmth of devotion and the richness of harvest. Exotic blooms intertwined with traditional flowers, creating a dialogue between heaven and earth, past and present. A monumental floral crown, nearly ten meters wide, invited pilgrims to attach their prayers and hopes, weaving their voices into the celebration.

We created a setting where art and faith converge. The result was more than decoration: it was an atmosphere of reverence, renewal, and beauty worthy of this sacred milestone.
