The Civic Garden

A public square transformed through living geometry

Belgium

At the heart of the city, this public square was reimagined as an intimate garden within the urban landscape. Flowing lines of clipped greenery create an intricate botanical composition, guiding the eye towards the existing fountain and sculpture at its centre.

Sculptural topiary introduces rhythm and permanence, while layered planting brings seasonal colour, texture and softness. Gravel pathways weave organically between the planted forms, creating a refined dialogue between movement and stillness. Viewed from above, the garden reveals its full geometry; experienced at ground level, it becomes a place of discovery, pause and quiet beauty.
